The Massachusetts Envirothon Finals were hosted by the Doyle Conservation
Center of the Trustees of Reservations in Leominster, MA. The top
four teams each gave excellent presentations to a team of judges,
and an audience of coaches, team mates and family. The winning team
Lexington High School, has been invited to represent Massachusetts
at the Canon International Envirothon in Flagstaff, AZ this summer.
The Tantasqua Regional High School Team
and Quabbin Regional High School Teams were each awarded a trip
on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon out of Gloucester, Massachusetts
as second and third place winners
The Somerset High School Team and Mohawk
Trail Regional High School Team were each awarded eight passes to
the New England Aquarium in Boston as fourth place and Rookie of
the Year winners.
Individual prizes were also give for
each of the stations and the current issue winner from the Field
Competition.
